Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario invites applications for the full-time position of Academic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with appropriate experience. This role will join the staff at Hamilton’s Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre and McMaster Children’s Hospital, a leading pediatric academic tertiary care teaching hospital. The successful candidate will work alongside outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrists, pediatric psychologists, and allied health professionals, providing coverage to the 22-bed inpatient unit, 6-bed Mental Health Assessment Unit, Consult‑Liaison Service, and emergency mental health service. Interest in substance use disorders and other specialized areas is welcomed.
