About This Opportunity
Responsibilities include:
- Read electrical diagrams, blueprints and other technical drawings to complete assemblies and installation.
- Position and install components, sub-assemblies and accessories such as engines, transmissions, door panels or control panels using hand and power tools and other supports such as overhead winches.
- Adjust components such as doors, hoods, and trunk lids.
- Check motor vehicle exterior primers and coats of paint, sealants and enamels, and evaluate, mark, record and report defects that need repair.
- Drive and test motor vehicles on a roller tester to ensure the transmission, axle, motor and brake are in good working order.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is usually required.
- The skills required for occupations in this unit group are usually acquired through on-the-job training.
