Assistant Vice President, Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Reporting to the Vice‑President, Research and Innovation, the AVP is responsible for advancing McGill University’s strategy in innovation, entrepreneurship, and research commercialization. The AVP leads McGill’s innovation and commercialization ecosystem across three core pillars: Technology Transfer & IP Management, Entrepreneurship & Venture Creation, and Strategic Partnerships & Knowledge Translation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technology transfer and commercialization activities, including IP strategy, invention disclosure, patenting, licensing, and commercialization pathways such as venture creation.
- Develop and implement an entrepreneurship framework for the university, supporting and scaling student‑ and faculty‑led ventures and overseeing the McGill Innovation Fund.
