Associate Vice President – Coding, Revenue Cycle Management
Role Summary
The AVP – Coding will lead coding operations across the RCM function, with primary responsibility for quality, compliance, productivity, and team performance. The role requires deep expertise in radiology and surgery coding, strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and payer rules, along with the ability to drive operational excellence across large coding teams. Coding supports accurate claim submission, denial reduction, compliance, and revenue optimization in the healthcare revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end coding operations for radiology, surgery, and related specialty services.
Ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes, and applicable modifiers based on clinical documentation.
Review coding quality, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and compliance.
