Founded in 1976, Interval House of Ottawa provides intersectional feminist, anti‑oppressive and trauma services for the community, including residential services for women and gender‑diverse people, alongside their dependents and pets, who are experiencing violence. We provide safe shelter and support, intervention and prevention services, and advocacy to break the cycle of violence. Our core values include compassion/empathy, empowerment, equality, leadership/accountability, intersectionality, respect and a client‑centred approach.

Board of Directors – Overview

We are currently seeking up to 5 individuals to join our board of Directors. Board members are expected to commit a minimum of 5 to 10 hours of work per month, participate in at least one committee, and support the organization’s mission and values.
