Position Description

Ottawa Salus is seeking directors to help further our mission of creating opportunities for adults with mental health, substance use, and addiction challenges to live independently. The Board of Directors is a governance board currently fixed at 13 Directors. Directors are nominated and elected on the basis of their skills, experience, interest, personal integrity, and commitment.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent with business experience, or experience managing organizational change
• Engagement in a philanthropic network
• Legal expertise

Expectations for new Directors

• Strong personal commitment to Salus’ vision and mission
• Capacity and commitment to serve as champions and ambassadors for Salus
• Willingness to be elected for an initial 2‑year term, which can be renewed up to 3 more times upon mutual agreement
