Cash Application Specialist

Location: York Region, ON

Length of Assignment: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $45,000-$50,000/year

Job Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily cash, credit and debit card transactions with the merchant bank and company records
• Post customer payments (online, EFT, cash, cheque) daily
• Reconcile bank accounts daily to ensure all items are accounted for
• Offset unapplied cash per collector's request
• Process small balance write-offs and non-sufficient cheques
• Handle petty cash and cash float reimbursement requests
• Ensure monthly, weekly and daily deadlines are met
• Balance entries posted in the ledger
• Interact with managers, collectors and other key stakeholders
• Partner with accounting team to bring issues to their attention, understand root cause and offer potential solutions
