About This Opportunity
Certified EMG Technician - Cardiac Care Program (GEN) Reporting to the Manager for Cardiac Diagnostics, the EMG Technologist plays an essential role in the diagnosis of health conditions affecting the muscles and nerve cells and is responsible for performing EMGs. They will perform electromyography testing, documenting, equipment monitoring, cleaning and maintenance, and other duties as assigned including: assessing, planning implementation and evaluating patient care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary patient‑centered care environment.
Requirements
Registered as an EMG Technologist (BRETC and A.E.T.C registration)
Current BCLS
ACLS an asset
At least 1 year experience in EMG testing with proven basic knowledge about the nervous system, the human anatomy and physiology
Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, assess patient capabilities and limitations and make practice adjustments as necessary
