Child and Youth Counsellor – 1 FTE – Contract until September 2026 Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre

Pay Range : $54,149.00/yr – $60,980.00/yr

Position Summary The Child and Youth Counselor is responsible for service delivery to children, youth and families in accordance with the WOCRC Vision, Mission, Guiding Beliefs and the Health Equity and Inclusion lens. The role involves in‑house and outreach services to meet the diverse needs of children and youth and families in the Goulbourn, Kanata and West Carleton communities.

Responsibilities

Provide direct service, including initial contact, crisis intervention, brief and short‑term counseling, and connect clients with appropriate internal and community resources.

Assess level of risk and provide follow‑up as required.

Facilitate education and support groups and advocate on behalf of clients.
