The Clinical Therapist is a member of the Child and Adolescent Service, Mental Health, and Addictions. Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Therapist provides assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. The Clinical Therapist carries out the general duties of the Child and Adolescent Service team but in addition to those duties, participates in quality initiatives in the program of care, engages in collaborative person-centered care, and utilizes available information technology to support best practice. The Clinical Therapist receives and provides supervision and mentorship as part of a community of practice. It is an expectation that the Clinical Therapist will act in a professional and ethical manner, following all recognized codes of ethics, standards, legislation, and guidelines relevant to clinical practice and profession.
