Position Summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Learning Support Workers to support students in the Vanderhoof area, including Mapes. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Work with school and district staff to support the individual needs of students.
• Assist in the delivery of regular or alternate education programs for individuals or groups.
• Advocate for students and participate in school-based teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilities.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
