Job Description: Cost Accountant
Location: Cienega, Reciente Leon, Mexico
Reports to: Mexico Controller
Position: Exempt
Responsibilities
Analytically review cost reduction projects and provide support to the Engineering department
Manage costs effectively
Review the Cost Structure
Analyze cost variances
Suggest improvements to enhance cost efficiency and production processes
Prepare monthly cost reports and closing statements
Accurately assess inventory valuation
Determine production costs
Coordinate and control physical and cycle inventory counts
Report weekly sales figures to Finance for analysis and reconciliation
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Advanced (at least 80%) English fluency
At least 3 years of experience in similar positions in the manufacturing industry
Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
