The course covers the founding of the American political system, with emphasis on major documents such as the Constitutional Convention and Federalist Papers, and the development of the constitutional system. Students will also examine fundamental characteristics such as political thought and federalism, and the main institutions including the presidency, Congress, and the Supreme Court.
