Demurrage & Detention Manager

We are searching for an experienced Demurrage & Detention Manager at our MSC Geneva facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager – Demurrage & Detention plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing MSC’s global D&D revenues, reporting directly to the Chief Logistics Officer (CLO) and leading a team of 4 FTEs.

They will provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to enhance profitability and equipment operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting & Analysis – Report to top management on D&D results, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Analyse D&D invoicing trends and propose strategies to improve profitability, run benchmarking exercises, and propose improvements in the tariff structure. Simulate the results of changes to D&D tariff structures and present findings to MSC HQ Liner Department and other key stakeholders.
