Responsibilities

• Preventive Care : Removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth (scaling and polishing).
• Oral Assessment : Reviewing medical history, conducting oral cancer screenings, and performing head and neck exams.
• Diagnostics : Taking and developing dental X-rays to assist the dentist in detecting decay or bone loss.
• Patient Education : Teaching oral hygiene techniques, such as proper brushing and flossing, and explaining the impact of nutrition on oral health.
• Collaboration : Working with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans, often providing care independently within the team.
