Job Summary The Deputy City Treasurer manages the treasury, revenue collection and utility billing areas. This involves administration of the customer service area, utility billing, collections, cash handling, banking and licensing.
Qualifications
Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) and Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial administration.
Computer training including MS Office, general ledger accounting software, utility billing software and cash receipting systems.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of public sector finance and administration.
Knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations pertaining to public sector accounting and financial administration.
Thorough knowledge of treasury administration.
