The Design Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development and release of components and Exterior Trim - Functional Plastics Engineers.
Responsibilities - Design, specify, test, validate and publish parts for assigned vehicle families; analyze and resolve failures produced by parts; propose, validate and obtain cost reductions inherent to these components.
- Perform changes or modifications to component parts of assigned vehicle families
- Request and authorize required tests to systems, parts and components of assigned vehicle families to validate that they comply with design requirements.
- Elaborate and evaluate assembly and operation tests of parts in the assembly plants before their incorporation to vehicle production (Production Evaluation Request).
