Director, Long‑Term Care
Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Social and Health Development, the Director of Long‑Term Care provides strategic and operational leadership as Administrator of Dearness Home.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of long‑term care operations, including residential services, the Adult Day Program, and community‑based homemaking services.
- Ensure high‑quality, resident‑centred care, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and compliance with provincial legislation and accreditation standards.
- Contribute to corporate strategy, drive division‑wide planning and performance.
- Maintain effective relationships with Council, government partners, and community stakeholders.
- Advance workforce engagement, labour relations, equity, safety, and continuous improvement in a complex, union‑based healthcare environment.
