EAL AND NEWCOMER SUPPORT TEACHER

FULL-TIME 100% TERM

This is a full-time, term position. The EAL and Newcomer Divisional Support Teacher will work collaboratively with the family of schools to ensure appropriate educational programming is in place for all newcomer students. Reporting to and under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Anti-Racism, Equity and Climate Justice, they assist schools in establishing a supportive, culturally sensitive school experience, with high expectations on language development and enrichment for all students and their families.

• Work alongside classroom teachers in co‑planning instructions that are rich in content and are aligned with the provincial EAL curriculum.
