Stantec's Energy team in western Canada is currently offering exciting opportunities for Electrical Engineers to work on a variety of HV/EHV AC and DC substation projects throughout North America. The Stations Electrical Design team is looking to fill the role of an Electrical Engineer‑in‑Training. Reporting to the Electrical Team Lead, the Electrical EIT will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer to develop skills and gain experience in performing engineering design.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering studies such as power flow, short circuit, grounding, lightning protection, insulation coordination, TRV, cable ampacity, rigid and flexible bus, lighting, etc.
  • Conduct detailed design of substations, including switchyard layouts, sections, grounding plan/details, cable routing, AC/DC distribution, major equipment specifications, single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, marking, design calcu...
