Job Description

The Test Lab Engineer will work with customers in defining the test request, obtaining buy in from local management for cost, timing, material and headcount requirements.

Responsibilities

• The completion of corrosion vehicle teardowns and e‑coat vehicle dissections.
• Instructing a team of technicians and co‑op students in the teardown and dissection process documenting issues and concerns.
• Fixturing, testing and data collection related to elastomeric based vehicle components. Various hydraulic and mechanical testing equipment will be designed and used to meet customer requests.
• Typical documentation will include extensive film thickness readings, metal loss readings and laser scanning of components as required.
• Reporting and communicating of proper information to affected product engineers will be an important aspect of this position.
