Job Description
The D&R (Design & Release) Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs.
Look for design improvements to increase quality and cost / weight optimization.
Design parts in order to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customers Requirements), ES (Engineering Specifications) and SDS (Systems Design specifications) as well as the Manufacturing and Assembly requirements.
The engineer is also responsible of parts incorporation at the Assembly Plant.
Responsibilities
Comply with Program cost, weight, quality, performance and timing targets (Waterfall process).
Understand GPDS (Global Product Development System) and create plans to deliver on time.
Comply with Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Failure Mode Avoidance Tools)
Knowledge and application of six sigma and 8D (Green Belt).
