Position Summary
The Stationary Engineer operates and maintains equipment in the plant (boilers/chillers) rooms, i.e., boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, etc., and performs overall building services at the CAHS, ensuring the safe, efficient and economical operation of all equipment and systems in accordance with the regulations of the Operating Engineers Act, as well as conducting rounds, inspections, and other similar functions.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education with an Ontario Certificate of Qualification as a Third Class Stationary Engineer.
- Certificate of Qualification as a Third Class Stationary Engineer.
- 1βyear apprenticeship training, with demonstrated knowledge of equipment and machinery typical to environment.
- Verbal and reading skill is necessary to read and understand blueprints and technical manuals, etc., pertaining to operation and maintenance of equipment and systems.
