API Engineering Manager – Mexico City (Hybrid)

We’re currently supporting a global digital platform that is scaling its engineering team and looking to hire an API Engineering Manager to take ownership of a core API layer powering payments, wallets, and services across multiple markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role , ideal for someone who enjoys building, improving, and guiding a team not just managing from a distance.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the design and evolution of a core API platform


• Building scalable backend systems used across multiple products and regions


• Working closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams to shape solutions


• Mentoring and guiding a small team of engineers


• Driving improvements across performance, scalability, and architecture
