Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Coordinator – Electrical Systems is responsible for maintaining the electrical systems (Electrical, Low-Voltage, Fire Alarm) of NAIT’s facilities to ensure environmentally healthy, safe and comfortable spaces in which to learn, work and visit. This includes planning, budgeting and scheduling planned and unplanned maintenance activities, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and determining the most cost‑effective delivery method. The Coordinator manages the delivery of maintenance activities through the labour supply contractor and external contractors as required. When emergent situations arise, the Coordinator assists in the coordination of repairs. The Coordinator also provides input into the Capital Maintenance and Renewal (CMR) program and Major Maintenance Plan (MMP), and coordinates projects from these plans.
