Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Financial Analyst, Expense Management, to join their team for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role requires an analytical mindset to manage budget variance reporting and ensure proper allocation across an extensive chart of General Ledger (GL) accounts.
Major Responsibilities
- Review annual and monthly budgets against actual spending. Aggregate data from employee expenses and vendor invoices, analyze variances (e.g., event spend, travel), and compile reports showing breakdown and justification for over/underspend.
- Review and ensure accuracy of employee‑submitted expense reports. Ensure correct coding to specific GL accounts (e.g., meals, parking, wellness, events) and appropriate cost centers, and process payments through internal systems.
