Food Services Supervisor - Operations

The Food Services Supervisor - Operations in the Vancouver Island Health Authority is accountable for ensuring quality and safety in the delivery of food services across multiple sites. The role requires continuous improvement in food service processes, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and effective supervision of cooks and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager or designate, the supervisor will:

• Supervise cooks and other designated staff across a multi‑site organization.
• Maintain supplies, ensuring safety, quality, and sanitation standards are met.
• Use computerized applications to support food service delivery.
• Travel between Port MacNeill, Port Hardy, and Cormorant Island, using a personal vehicle as required.
• Coordinate work schedules and shifts to meet service needs.
