This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a 23-bed Schedule One Facility. You will engage in psychotherapy, ECT, hospitalization, and manage medication for various mental illnesses. Teaching prospects are available, fostering a community-focused approach to mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-call psychiatric services at OSMH (1 in 4)
• Consult with hospital credentialed staff and regional partners
• Conduct out-patient consultations for mental health
• Participate in the strategic planning of psychiatry services
• Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Unrestricted CPSO license for Ontario
• Fellowship or Certification in Psychiatry from RCPSC
• Prior experience in psychiatry preferred
