Functional Area Lead – Woodroom

Location: Slave Lake, Alberta

Overview

The Functional Area Lead – Woodroom is responsible for monitoring the woodroom & log yard teams to safely maintain a constant flow of wood into the mill in order to create quality strands for the green bins while keeping all equipment maintained and in good working order. The Functional Area Lead sets and meets aggressive targets in safety, quality, production, uptime, efficiency and spending.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills; minimum of Grade 12 education (or equivalent).
• Good working knowledge of OSB manufacturing, continuous process, operating large industrial machinery, and computer spreadsheets.
• Strong profit orientation and excellent communication skills.
