The Opportunity

• Leads safe work practices by ensuring safe work conditions, proactively supporting safe implementation of projects and works throughout the Atlantic Operations.
• Directs day-to-day activities of the Safety Advisors. Coaching Safety Advisors, management and employees on good health and safety practices.
• Responsible for ensuring all health and safety programs, training and reporting is up to date for both internal and external regulatory programs. This includes but is not limited to safety training, risk registries, critical controls, incident reporting and safety statistics.
• Manages the Nova Scotia Worker Safety Board (WSB) registry ensuring files are updated and followed appropriately.
