ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, upgrade/patch, secure, operate and maintain RedHat Linux/Solaris servers/systems using standard procedures
- Ensure that systems are configured and monitored for their security and that access is configured to standards to secure data. Perform backup and recovery. Use established procedures for inventory and configuration management
- Respond to requests and problems reporting in the ticketing system according to service levels and provide excellent customer service to end users
- Interact with teams and management in a dynamic, open-door environment. Bring ideas and innovation to the team.
- Work with versatility across a wide range of technologies and systems
- Provide after-hours/on-call support for critical systems. Participate in operational emergencies and incident response situations. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation with other team members.
