Job Description
The position is responsible for performing janitorial duties to ensure The Salvation Armyβs facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of Resource Centre, including shelter rooms, hallway washrooms, showers, floors, bunk mats, staff washrooms, kitchen, office, laundry room, and front entrance.
- Vacuuming 1st and 2nd floor offices and photocopy room, and sweeping/mopping hallway floors, stairwell steps, dining area, and entrance lobby.
- Wiping and disinfecting doors, windows, light fixtures, exit signs, and ceiling vents.
- Cleaning kitchen countertops, sinks, and steam trays; washing dishes; wiping tables and chairs; and maintaining the kitchen floor.
