Lab Patient Technician

Responsible for the specimen collection process, greeting patients, preparing specimens for transportation, and performing phlebotomies, holter monitor connections, ECG tracings, and special test collections such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials.

Position: Part Time. Shift based on operational requirements. Location: Unit 4, 1060 Burnham St, Cobourg, ON. Number of positions: 1. Start Date: ASAP. Additional Requirements: This position serves as a backup for sick leave and vacation. Flexible availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and request required information from patients, explain specimen collection process, and ensure patients have followed required test protocol prior to collection.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect Holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
