Lab Patient Technician – Part Time, Various Shifts, Home Base: Bridgepoint Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, request required information, explain specimen collection process, and ensure tests are performed correctly.
• Perform phlebotomy, connect/disconnect Holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
• Collect special tests such as medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials; complete documentation.
• Maintain client relationships, responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
• Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other data related to processing test results.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent (preferred).
• Phlebotomy experience (asset).
