Landscape Specialist (Planting / Softscape)

Garden City Tree & Landscape is seeking a skilled and motivated Softscape Specialist to join our growing team. This role blends hands‑on landscape construction, plant knowledge, and softscape installation.

If you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong understanding of plant care, and can confidently plan and place plant material to enhance a space — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain softscape elements including trees, shrubs, perennials, and sod
• Perform planting, transplanting, soil preparation, and garden bed construction
• Assist with layout and design of planting areas, including plant placement and spacing
• Sketch simple planting plans or enhancement concepts for projects
• Identify plant species and diagnose plant health issues
• Apply proper plant care techniques including watering, pruning, and fertilization
