Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking to fill the Department Head of Psychiatry position which provides overall professional practice leadership and direction to the members of a professional medical discipline/department within the Burnaby Hospital.

The successful candidate will have lead responsibility for the maintenance of medical and ethical standards of practice and will ensure activities of the Department are consistent with the FH MHSU program priorities and directions. The position reports and is accountable to the Regional Department Head (RDH) and, as a member of the Burnaby (BH) medical staff, the incumbent will work as a team player with colleagues and co-workers in identifying service delivery models and processes to ensure seamless integration of services within acute care, community care, and primary care while maintaining system sustainability.
