Our Hospital Queens General Hospital, in operation since 1949, is a 22-bed acute care community hospital offering non-ICU level inpatient care and a full-service Emergency Department. In 2014 the facility underwent a massive transformative renovation which modernized existing spaces and created new space for a Collaborative Care wing and the Queens Family Health Primary Care Clinic. Among the most modern community hospitals in Nova Scotia, QGH is the pride of Queens County – a point illustrated by the fact that 90% of the funding for the 2014 renovation was raised locally.
