This is specialized communications, marketing and public engagement work across all City departments. An incumbent is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating communications, marketing, and public consultation projects, activities and programs; researching, writing and editing a variety of communications, and public engagement materials; identifying, assessing, anticipating emerging issues and trends; planning and implementing community consultation and engagement on publicly sensitive issues; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts. Develops marketing, communications and public engagement plans, strategies and tactics; identifies the need for and enlists the support and participation of appropriate partners, stakeholders and subject matter experts.
