Position Overview
Responsible for designing, quoting, purchasing, validating, and implementing the right process, tools, fixtures, equipment, and machines to create an environment that optimizes safety, achieves high quality standards, and improves process efficiency to world‐class levels.
Should always consider the following key concepts: lean manufacturing (VA/NVA), continuous improvement, 5S, total quality management, and one‐piece flow.
Responsibilities
Create a clean, well‐organized working environment that prevents accidents and reduces safety risks for team members.
Ensure processes are robust enough to enable the production of high‐quality engines that meet company standards.
Maximize the VA/NVA ratio of equipment and tools while adapting to worker reality and using top‐line technologies when needed.
Collaborate closely with product engineers to ensure product characteristics can be manufactured as specified.
