Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent

Role Overview

Reporting to Maintenance Manager, this leadership role is critical in ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective performance of all mechanical maintenance functions across the site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of mechanical maintenance supervisors and tradespeople.
• Oversee day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, plant uptime, and efficient resource utilization.
• Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programmes aligned with mill production goals.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Plan and execute mechanical shutdown activities, including budgeting, scheduling, manpower planning, and safety compliance.
