Reporting

Under the general direction of the Manager, Laboratory, Anatomical Pathology.

Duties

• Analyze Quality Control (QC) data for the purposes of quality control and verification of performance related to Genomics, and implement corrective action as required.
• Perform components of Genomics testing to include extractions of RNA/DNA, Polymerase Chain Reactions (PCR), harvest of blood and bone marrow and FISH slides.
• Ensure the accurate, precise and verifiable performance of tests and the timely reporting of results providing reliable and timely information for the Clinician.
• Ensure Insitute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) and other proficiency testing specimens are completed and reported in a timely manner.
• Perform the full range of tests and procedures related to the assigned section and/or site.
