What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Meat Manager will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance in supporting the overall business objectives of the department. As a hands‑on leader, the Meat Manager will be responsible for day‑to‑day execution of tasks within the meat department and work alongside team members to deliver exceptional service adding value to our customers.
- Maintain staff levels by recruiting, selecting, orientating, developing personal growth opportunities and training employees
- Achieve results by communicating job expectations via planning, monitoring, and appraising performance through talent management, including coaching and disciplining employees
- Ensure all staff adhere to Co‑op standards regarding merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, health & safety and loss prevention
