SUMMARY
Reporting to the General Manager, the Mill Maintenance / Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the industrial equipment required to operate a wood preserving plant. Responsibilities are focused on equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet quality, productivity, and reliability expectations. Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery breakdowns. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools. Operate hand and power tools including drills, grinders, welders, cutting torch in an safe and effective manner Identify opportunities for safety, quality, and reliability improvements.
