Overview
The Teacher Assistant will work closely with the 5th‐grade team to support teachers and students during the school day, helping manage the teaching load and ensuring an effective classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Classroom Support
Assist teachers with daily classroom activities, including small group instruction, managing materials, and providing individualized support.
Work with students who need additional assistance in different content area classes.
Supervise students during independent work, ensuring they stay on task.
Provide behavioral support to maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
Recess Supervision
Supervise students during recess to reduce teachers' supervision responsibilities.
