Description of Work:

The Nursing Home Surveyor (Nurse Consultant I) position involves regulatory activities to determine compliance of nursing homes with federal and state requirements through inspections.

Location: home-based servicing Alexander, Allegheny, Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Catawba, Davie, Iredell, Surry, Watauga, and Wilkes counties. The consultant spends an average of three days per week in nursing homes conducting inspections, with occasional weekend or overnight stays.

Job Responsibilities

• Surveying nursing homes during routine surveys and complaint investigations.
• Completing survey reports, including statements of deficiency and complaint allegation findings.
