Hugh’s Room Live is a registered charity and a not-for-profit music-focused organization with a 25-year history presenting the best live music across a wide range of genres. Our roots are in the folk/singer-writer genre, inheriting the legacy of Yorkville’s famous Riverboat that launched the careers of many leading lights of Canada’s music scene. Our storied venue in the city’s west end closed in 2020 and in September of 2023 we re-opened in a new heritage property on Broadview Avenue.

Since then, we have continued our tradition of presenting both legacy artists and new, emerging talents on our stage. We also continue to challenge traditional genres of music, presenting folk, Canadiana/Americana, jazz, blues, global and multi-media artists. We also have a thriving rental business in our venue providing a home for other arts organizations and institutions in our city.
