Excellent opportunity for a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. You will be part of a team of dedicated psychiatrists providing inpatient and outpatient child and youth mental health services within the hospital and the expanding local community. Subspecialty areas include eating disorders and substance use disorders. Kelowna offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for teaching, leadership development, and community engagement through programs such as Foundry.
Hospital work involves psychiatric assessment and treatment of patients up to 18 years of age, often admitted through the Emergency Department. The Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Unit has 8 beds and operates seven days a week, with length of stay ranging from 10 days to several weeks.
