The psychologist for the OWN Program (Ontario Workers Network) in mental health plays a key role in the clinical assessment and coordination of the psychological and functional recovery of clients presenting with work-related mental health disorders. They contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans aimed at improving overall functioning and supporting a sustainable return to work. In close collaboration with the interdisciplinary OWN program team, the WSIB, and community partners, the psychologist acts as a clinical expert in mental health. As part of their duties, the psychologist may also provide clinical support to the Mental Health and Addictions Program of the CRSMT and may be required to work at different sites according to organizational needs.
