Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all stages of residential real estate files from start to finish.
• Calculate and requisition funds for closings, manage incoming/outgoing trust funds, mortgage financing payouts, and prepare Statements of Adjustments.
• Prepare, review, and file transfers, mortgages, builder packages, subdivision documents, and trust letters with the Alberta Land Titles Office (LTO).
• Conduct and summarize land titles, tax, zoning, and bankruptcy searches.
• Produce timely reports, handle direct client inquiries, and liaise with lenders to meet tight transactional deadlines.
• Step in to assist on files when other paralegals are on vacation or away, ensuring no deadlines are missed.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant or Paralegal program.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Alberta residential real estate.
