Mount Saint Joseph Hospital’s (MSJ) OR is a community-level surgical site with four operating rooms and is home to Providence’s Ophthalmology Program which operates in three procedure rooms. In addition to ophthalmology, surgical services at MSJ include general surgery, dentistry, otolaryngology, plastic surgery and urology. Experience in both scrub and circulating duties are a must. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Staff Nurse assesses, identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs using an established framework for nursing practice. Develops, implements, evaluates and revises the plan of care.
